An LCA study will be conducted in order to evaluate the environmental aspects, potential impact and sustainability associated with ABSALT process integrated with cement plants, using the commercial software SimaPro^TM (in compliance with ISO 14040-14044 standards). The LCA results will be used for reporting potential environmental loads and resources consumed in each step of cement production with CCS and benchmarking the proposed project against conventional CO₂ capture technologies. The project will also assess the technical and economic risks related to safe construction, operation and maintenance of the ABSALT process integrated into cement plants.
